Whizz, Splash, Crackle

Surrey’s Physical and Sensory Support Team are excited to invite you to the launch of our new initiative ‘Whizz, Splash, Crackle’: our learning to listen and talk programme for pre-school children with a diagnosed hearing loss. This initiative is starting with the younger pre-school children (under 3’s) and so you are being directly invited to come and join us.

These sessions are five week blocks, which are designed for a family member to attend with their child and we ask that you attend all five sessions in each block. The programme of activities has been developed jointly within the team with input from our Specialist HI Speech and Language Therapists; Advisory Teachers for Hearing Impairment and Specialist Teaching Assistants.

The first session takes place on Wednesday 1st November 2017 from 9.30 to 11.30am and runs for five weeks with the last session in this block being on 29th November. There will be time for networking after the sessions.

Venue: The Bridge Youth Club, Kingston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 7RB

We are having an introductory meeting on Wednesday 18th October from 10.00 to 11.00 am when you can come and join us for a cup of tea; meet some of the team; hear about our future plans and most importantly share with us your ideas for what you would like to see included.

If you would like to join Whizz, Splash, Crackle but can’t come to the introduction we would still love you to join us. Please email to confirm to pamela.todd@surreycc.gov.uk to let us know you will be coming by Tuesday the 17th of October 2017.

Kind Regards

Pam Todd
