The Mead School
Welcome to The Mead Infant School Website! The Mead offers a high quality educational environment, in which children are happy and motivated to learn. Every child is unique and we work hard to develop the individual abilities of your child. We hope you enjoy learning about the school, and warmly invite you to come and visit us.

Guildford Grove School
The school provides a resource for pupils with profound hearing and multi-sensory impairment, called The Lighthouse. Currently, this has nine pupils on roll.

Auriol School
Auriol Junior School is a Hearing Impaired Resource Centre. Several children at the school have a hearing impairment. These pupils benefit from the school ethos which values the contribution that they make to the life of the school. Inclusion of all children is important to Auriol.


Knollmead School
Knollmead is an inclusive environment with a strong commitment to supporting children with special educational needs in the mainstream setting. It has specialist resources for hearing impaired children, using total communication methods and provision for children with autistic spectrum disorder and severe learning difficulties in Nursery, KS1 and KS2. Children and staff view this integration very positively.

Epsom and Ewell High School

Hamilton Lodge School
Hamilton Lodge School is a Non-Maintained Special School for deaf children with residential facilities, and is situated in Brighton within 10 minutes walk to the sea and 20 minutes to the town centre. We cater for pupils aged between 5 and 18 years old and have a Child Centred Approach to communication using English and BSL.

Mary Hare
Mary Hare School provides education for deaf children from the ages of 5 – 19 years. The School is open to any deaf child in the UK and where funding exists, from overseas. The School teaches using an auditory/oral approach, without the use of sign language.
